The Landforms series encompasses the landscape of the UK in its many guises, from the harsh beauty of the Gower to coastal erosion on the North Sea. The work depicts a landscape that implies a powerful and mysterious presence- a place where humanity collides with the force of nature in all its manifestations. The images depict an environment where paths lead into a different world. They present spaces of symbolic and nostalgic importance. The terrain that has normally been portrayed as being unified and harmonious is instead depicted as confused to express conflict between expectation and reality.
